Health and wellness expos provide the public an opportunity to experience new fitness technology, learn more about a particular exercise technique, or even meet people who have the same interests as them. There is a huge draw to these events, and they are largely beneficial to attendees and exhibitors alike.

But you can’t just wing it when it comes to attending a health and fitness expo. You’ll need to prepare well ahead of time. Here are three tips to keep in mind as you plan for your upcoming expo appearance.

  1. Be relevant. Is your event particularly timely? Is there another related event taking place? A number of conferences will feature an expo or trade show in order to capitalize on new industry developments or current events. Your brand is only as good as it’s relevance. How can you put yourself at center stage?
  2. Employ social media techniques. There are a number of ways to get creative with social media. Expo organizers should encourage all exhibitors to post to social media using unique, easily traceable hashtags that will be recognizable to attendees and can be used to notify them of the whereabouts of each booth.
  3. Invite industry leaders. One of the keys to a successful health expo is to have a variety of exhibitors in attendance, and that means having a number of perspectives to listen to. When promoting your brand, you’ll want to bring your marketing team along, but you may also want to bring along someone who is more familiar with the product, like an engineer or scientist. Having multiple experts also establishes clout or influence.
