4. Learn how to cook
Unfortunately, since the 1970s, the number of fast food restaurants across the nation has more than doubled. This makes it all too easy for families to rely on overprocessed, cheap food for their meals. Lucky for you, health and wellness shows aren’t just about doctors and fitness gadgets, as there will be chefs and nutritionists on the premises that can help you with healthy cooking! They will show you how to meal prep, how to differentiate portion sizes, and how to utilize healthy foods into delicious recipes. Plus, some health expos even have cooking classes if you are interested.
Simply put, if you are going to a health and wellness expo and don’t walk away with a wealth of information you are doing things wrong! There will be hundreds of professionals at each show, and they are more than willing to talk to you for a few minutes or give you a demonstration of their products. These types of expos rely on a hands-on approach to learning, so come prepped with questions and an open mind!
Some booths like to give out freebies, so you can try the product in the comforts of your own home! Some health and wellness shows even have large giveaways to promote large clients and get you more interested in trying things out.
7. Become interested in things you never thought possible
Health and fitness shows are perfect for trying new things and even experimenting with different ideas you never thought possible. Think yoga isn’t for you? Take a 15-minute hot yoga class at an expo to try it out! What about eating gluten free? Same goes — all you need to do is talk to a nutritionist about easy ways to implement this in your diet! The whole fitness world is at your fingertips, all you need to do is try!
